There's been a lot of talk about Warner Bros. movies lately, and for good reason. How about we talk about some actual casting news this time. We've been slowly learning about who will be joining Dwayne Johnson in DC's Black Adam movie. We know who will play Hawkman and Atom Smasher, now we can add Cyclone to the list. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Quintessa Swindell has been cast as Cyclone.
Cyclone will join Hawkman, Atom Smasher and the yet to be cast Doctor Fate as the members of the JSA in the upcoming film. It's unclear exactly what role the superhero team will play. We do know that Cyclone (AKA Maxine Hunkell) is the daughter of the original Red Tornado, who has always been a favorite character of mine. From the name, you can imagine that the character possesses wind powers but she has sound generating powers as well.
As for Swindell, they are best known for their role in Trinkets on Netflix and Euphoria from HBO. Johnson himself took to Twitter to not only welcome them to the cast, but also to announce when the start of production on the film would begin.
