"I'm going to burn this place to the ground." No, that's not what the Chiefs did to the 49ers defense during the NFL's "Big Game" on Sunday. Those were the immortal words of Tom Hiddleston's Loki during a quick TV spot that revealed new footage for Marvel's upcoming live action series. We also got a look at The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision. In case you missed it, here you go:
Sure, these are all very quick looks, but each seemed to make an impact. We get to see the iconic shield throw and our first look at U.S. Agent (or at least I think so) from our look at The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We got to see that there will be many different versions of Wanda in WandaVision, including in her comics accurate head gear. The Loki footage tells us virtually nothing, but they have barely started filming, so I'm surprised that we got anything at all.
To me, the WandaVision footage was the most interesting. It definitely gave me some Legion vibes in that it was a bit trippy. It also seems like they are trapped in some parallel world or in someone's mind. If this is indeed connected to Doctor Strage In The Multiverse of Madness, that would make a lot of sense. I wouldn't mind seeing some of Tom King's amazing comic book run thrown into the mix there, as well.
One thing that we did not get were any release dates for these series. When those are released, and official, you can bet that they will be announced here or on the podcast.
