Ever since the beginning, we have been given the impression that Leviathan was a next level threat. Leviathan might also be one of the most secretive operations to ever grace the pages of DC Comics. Now things are starting to be revealed, and the heroes are fighting back. We're getting a look at Leviathan Dawn #1 from DC. You can see the cover above, but here's a page that caught my eye:
It should be fairly obvious that I chose this page because Green Arrow was firing arrows and leaping into action. They know who the leader is, the plans have been revealed, so it's time to fight back. Beyond that, again, we don't really know what to expect from this upcoming story from Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev. The only synopsis that DC sent us says: "Leviathan changed the rules of the game, so now's the time for the biggest players to get together and figure out a new strategy in this brave new world."
Not exactly a wealth of information, but that sums up Leviathan pretty well. Bendis has been planting the seeds for a while now, so it's time to watch the tree grow. If Alex Maleev is the one bringing that tree to life, I'm on board for that. Leviathan Dawn #1 arrives on February 26, 2020. Make sure you tell your local shop you want that in your pull box now, because final order cutoff is TODAY (February 3rd). Will it be Checkmate for our heroes? We'll find out soon!
