Halloween is a great time for something new from the Mystery Inc. crew. Actually, did you know that this October is actually Scoobtober for Warner Bros. Discovery? That means a whole lot of Scooby-Doo across several platforms. One of the more exciting announcements is an all new, original movie with some Halloween hijinks from the entire gang.
Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! will be available starting October 4th on Digital, then head to DVD on October 18th. The movie will also be available on Cartoon Network and HBO Max during the celebration. Let's take a look at the first trailer:
I love how the movie still has that classic Scooby-Doo look, but updated to make it look more sharp. Speaking of classic, the familiar voice cast returns including Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo/Fred Jones, Grey DeLisle as Daphne Blake, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers and Kate Micucci as Velma Dinkley. Audie Harrison (“Uncle Grandpa”) not only serves as director, but an executive producer. Teleplay also comes from Harrison. along with Laura Pollak (“Fairfax,” “Rise of the Pink Ladies”) and Daniel McLellan (“Lost in Space”). Sam Register (Looney Tunes Cartoons), Mr. Everything at Warner Bros. Animation, also serves as executive producer.
Want even more reason to get the DVD release? It comes with three bonus episodes, including:
- El Bandito
- Headless Horseman of Halloween
- To Switch a Witch
