Netflix Gives ‘Manifest’ Season 4 Part 1 A Very Appropriate Release Date

I'm a sucker for a good callback.  So, when I saw the release date that was set by Netflix for Part 1 of the final season of Manifest, I couldn't help but smile.  Season 4, the final chapter in the mystery of the passengers for Flight 828 will begin on Netflix on November 4th.  Hardcore Manifesters know that's the date that the flight actually arrived, or reappeared depending on your perspective.  Long story short, Netflix gets it.

We also got a short and cryptic teaser for the upcoming season:

You could argue that we got more from the first look shared during Netflix's Geeked Week, but neither look has revealed a ton.  At the end of last season, we found out that the clock might be ticking for the survivors of Flight 828, but that there was clearly more at play than they had first expected.  The cryptic mystery is the beauty of the show, and one of the reasons fans love it so much (myself included. A lot of that also has to do with the incredible cast that we've grown to love over the years.  They're all coming back including Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Ty Doran, Parveen Kaur, Matt Long, Holly Taylor, Daryl Edwards and more.

Keep in mind, this fourth and final season will be broken up into two parts.  Each part will consist of 10 episodes each.  That is a really generous amount of time for series creator and showrunner Jeff Rake to give a proper conclusion to this story.  I've said it before, this isn't just saving a show, it's saving the story itself.  This isn't like cramming a conclusion into a few episodes or a movie.  It might not be a marathon, but it's certainly not a sprint either.

In case you missed it with any of our past coverage, here's the Season 4 synopsis: "Two years after the brutal murder of Grace turned their lives upside down, the Stone family is in shambles as a devastated Ben continues to mourn his wife and search for his kidnapped daughter, Eden. Consumed by his grief, Ben has stepped down from his role as co-captain of the lifeboat, leaving Michaela to captain it alone, a near impossible feat with the passengers’ every move now being monitored by a government registry. As the Death Date draws closer and the passengers grow desperate for a path to survival, a mysterious passenger arrives with a package for Cal that changes everything they know about Flight 828 and will prove to be the key to unlocking the secret of the Callings in this compelling, mind-bending, and deeply emotional journey."
