‘Lucifer’ Adds Extra Episodes To It’s Final Season

Sounds like Netflix has made a deal with the devil. Lucifer is entering it’s 5th and final season, but fans wanting more will be getting more. Originally, the final season of Lucifer was set for 10 episodes. That number has just jumped to 16 episodes, as you can see from the announcement made by Netflix on Twitter:

If you want to look at the plus side of this, that is almost like a full season renewal, but we’re getting all of the episodes at once. Showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have said many times that they are ending the show on their own terms. Now this will really allow them to not leave anything trapped forever in the writer’s room. Even if the ending is perfect, I suspect fans will still petition for more when it’s over.

No release date has been announced for Lucifer Season 5, but when it does, we’ll have the update for you.
