Outlander fans are used to waiting for the show to return, so this shouldn’t be too much of shock. Entertainment Weekly reports that the show will not air until “early 2020”. The news comes from Starz COO Jeffrey A. Hirsch at the TCA tour. Seems that this extended break is a “scheduling strategy”, which might frustrate some fans.
Season 5 will be based on Book 5 in the series, The Fiery Cross, so if you can’t wait then that’s an option. Odds are, diehard fans have already read the book and want to see it on screen. Not to mention dealing with the events of Season 4 and continuing to Fraser’s story in colonial America.
