Don't look now, but DC Films has quietly put together quite the list of movies. After the success of Aquaman and Shazam! things are certainly looking up. Of course, it all started with Wonder Woman. Now the highly anticipated sequel has finally released it's first trailer. Here's a first look at Wonder Woman 1984:
Did we really just see Wonder Woman swinging across lightning bolts!? We also got a look at Pedro Pascal's Maxwell Lord, who appears to be the main villain for the upcoming movie. We also get to see Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva, but not Cheetah just yet. That's not the kind of reveal I expected in a first trailer, so I'm happy to wait for that.
We also get to see that this movie is leaning hard into the 80s nostalgia, from the visuals to the music. The first impression is definitely a good one, so I'll take this as one more reason to love this movie. It will also be interesting to see how Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) is back in the mix. For some reason, it just doesn't feel permenant.
We will all find out together when Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters on June 5, 2020.
