It worked out so well for Mortal Kombat, they decided to do it again. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced watch party, set for this Saturday (May 9th) at 4pm ET/1pm PT, but something big will be happening after that as well.
A 70 minute, star-studded panel will kick off at 6pm ET/3pm PT. The panel, hosted by IGN, will include: actors Jerry O’Connell (Superman), Matt Ryan (John Constantine), Jason O’Mara (Batman) & Christopher Gorham (The Flash), and filmmakers James Tucker, Christina Sotta, Matt Peters and Ernie Altbacker. Why is this so huge? Justice League Dark: Apokolips War basically marks the end of this particular continuity of DC Animation movies. That’s 7 years and 15 movies that all comes down to this. So yeah, there will be lots to discuss.
In the synopsis we learn that: “Justice League Dark: Apokolips War finds Earth decimated after intergalactic tyrant Darkseid has devastated the Justice League in a poorly executed war by the DC Super Heroes. Now the remaining bastions of good – the Justice League, Teen Titans, Suicide Squad and assorted others – must regroup, strategize and take the war to Darkseid in order to save the planet and its surviving inhabitants. This is truly the war to end all wars, and only the victor will live to enjoy the spoils.”
