You expect to see some great toy reveals at the NY Toy Fair. What I didn’t expect was a trailer for a new Transformers anime coming to Netflix! The three part Transformers: War For Cybertron will begin with “Siege”. Here is the trailer:

The story will likely follow the Autobot/Decepticon civil war. This is the first project from Rooster Teeth Studios and will be animated by Polygon Pictures. Gavin Hignight and Brandon Easton, both no strangers to the Transformers world, will be the writers with F.J. DeSanto serving as showrunner.
The biggest change is, Peter Cullen will not be the voice of Optimus Prime. I’m sure that Jake Foushee will do a fantastic job. We will update you on the full voice cast when it’s available. No release date has been given, but check back for updates.
