The next adventure for Lara Croft is less than a year away! Deadline reports that a sequel to the Tomb Raider movie, starring Alicia Vikander, will hit theaters on March 19, 2021 from MGM. Vikander will return in the title role, but other casting and plot details have not been released at this time.

We also now know that Amy Jump will be writing the sequel, with Graham King and Elizabeth Cantillon producing. Ben Wheatley had also been tapped to direct. He recently worked on Strange Angel for CBS All Access and has a couple of Doctor Who episodes to his credit. If I'm being honest, it's highly likely that you wouldn't recognize his feature film credits. Still, he has clearly worked on at least one high profile project.

How excited are you for a Tomb Raider sequel?
