Everybody makes mistakes, right? Sometimes we let something slip that we weren't supposed to. The difference is, we don't typically do that on the red carpet in front of a microphone. That's what happened to Vin Diesel recently at the premiere of the Bloodshot movie.
Comicbook.com reports that, during an interview with Diesel, the actor let it slip that the Guardians of the Galaxy would be appearing in Thor: Love And Thunder. According to the report, when talking about director James Gunn he said, "He took The Suicide Squad so he's about to embark on it. Thor will also, the director talked to me about Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy. That'll be very interesting, nobody knows, maybe I shouldn't have said anything."
With Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 put on the back burner after the controversy with Gunn and Disney last year, it would have been forever until we saw the team again. After the way Avengers: Endgame ended, that connection with Thor certainly opened the door for them to appear sooner. Whether or not they have a major role remains to be seen. For all we know, they could just be dropping Thor off. At this point, I think it's safe to trust director Taika Waititi. Plus, think of what he would be able to do with the Guardians in one of his movies. I would be very excited to see that.
So was Vin Diesel overstating the Guardians' role in the upcoming Thor movie? We'll have to wait and see. Thor: Love And Thunder will be in theaters on November 5, 2021.
