‘Sweet Tooth’ First Look & Trailer Revealed By Netflix

It wasn’t too long ago that we were talking about Jeff Lemire’s Sweet Tooth being adapted by Netflix. I was very happy today when I saw that Netflix has given a first look at the series, and even a release date. We even have a trailer. See for yourself:

I love the practical effects and that it looks like they really captured the heart and soul of the original Vertigo comic book series. Sweet Tooth will have 8 episodes in it’s first season, each running around 60 minutes. The cast includes Christian Convery (Gus), Nonso Anozie (Tommy Jepperd), Adeel Akhtar (Dr. Aditya Singh), Aliza Vellani (Rani Singh), Stefania LaVie Owen (Bear), Dania Ramirez (Aimee Eden), Neil Sandilands (General Abbot), with Will Forte (Father) and James Brolin (Narrator). Jim Mickle and Beth Schwartz serve as showrunners. Other executive producers include Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell and Linda Moran.

Here is the official synopsis released by Netflix: “Years after “The Great Crumble” changed everything, a hybrid deer-boy forms an unlikely bond with a wandering loner. Together, they embark on an extraordinary adventure through the lush, dangerous world left behind, searching for the meaning of home. Based on the DC comic book series by Jeff Lemire, SWEET TOOTH premieres globally on June 4, only on Netflix.”

Yes, you read that right. Sweet Tooth arrives June 4th on Netflix. Keep checking back for updates and our continuing coverage.
