There has been a lot of speculation once Lois said "your sons", plural, when she was talking to Clark at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths. Now, we know that the upcoming Superman And Lois series on The CW will indeed feature two Kent children. Deadline reports that Jonathan Kent and Jordan Kent are the siblings, and that they have both been cast.
Jordan Elsass will play the character we know more from the comics, Jonathan Kent. The character is described as, "clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated." Alexander Garfin will play the character that is more of a mystery, Jordan Kent. He is clearly different from his brother, described as, "wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games." So, what are we talking about here?
In case you had forgotten, you can see the photo above of Clark holding baby Jonathan. That's one baby, so it doesn't seem like we're talking about twins here. Now, could Crisis have changed that? Absolutely, because we've already seen quite a few changes on many shows since then. There have been some theories that I have seen considering the possibiity of fraternal twins, or that Jordan is adopted. This doesn't totally disqualify the possiblity that I, and many others, have predicted that the other son would be Bruce Wayne's son Damian. I mean, he and Jonathan are the Super-Sons in the comics after all. Changing his name to Jordan isn't totally crazy either. Would you want to protect the poor kid from having to answer all the questions about where his dad has disappeared to? Not to mention a the League or a whole new batch of villains that would love to snatch Batman's son. It's also possible that we are all overthinking this entirely and it's just a second kid.
Superman And Lois has been ordered straight to series by The CW. Former The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing will take on the same duties for this series, along with the writing. Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter via Berlanti Productions and Geoff Johns will also be on board. A premiere date has not been set at this time.
