‘One Of Us Is Lying’ Gets A Series Order From Peacock

When you spend nearly 133 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, I’d say you have a very popular story. The YA story, One Of Us Is Lying from Karen M. McManus has gained critical acclaim since it’s release, and now, it will be adapted to series by Peacock. The mystery drama has been given an initial eight episode order.

The story is simple, it’s about “what happens when five high schoolers walk into detention and only four make it out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide.”

The cast consists of Marianly Tejada (“The Purge”), Cooper van Grootel (“Go!”), Annalisa Cochrane (“Into the Dark: Pure”), Chibuikem Uche (“Ghost Draft”), Barrett Carnahan (“Grown-ish”), Jessica McLeod (“You Me Her”) and Melissa Collazo (“Swamp Thing”). Darío Madrona will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Erica Saleh wrote the pilot. For obvious reasons, no release date has been given.

One Of Us Is Lying joins a rapidly growing list of original programming on the Peacock streaming service from NBCUniversal. We will have continuing coverage of this and other Peacock releases. Keep checking back for first look photos, trailers and reviews.
