There hasn’t been a lot of news about the live action ‘Cowboy Bebop’ series since the initial casting announcements. You might remember there as a piece missing in that first round of casting. It appears that Netflix now has their Julia.
Elena Satine (Strange Angel) will play Julia in the upcoming adaptation. She is described, “With a sultry beauty and a voice to die for, Julia is the dream-like object of Spike Spiegel’s desire.” You’ll remember that Spike will be played by John Cho.
There is still some casting that needs to be done, but this is a step in the right direction. If you’re a fan of the anime, you already know quite a bit about Julia, and it will be interesting to see how much of that story is a part of this first season. What do you think of the casting choice?
