I'm not sure if you noticed, but Netflix made a bit of a change on social media recently. NX on Netflix is now Netflix Geeked, focusing on all of the things that we love on Netflix. To celebrate the change, they have planned a weeklong virtual celebration called Geeked Week. The event will run June 7-11th.
According to Netflix, Geeked Week promises big first looks and news for some of the biggest shows and movies that are upcoming. They also plan to have content right from the creators themselves. It almost feels like a weeklong virtual con, but more information will be revealed soon.
Some of the series and movies listed in the initial release were Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Lucifer, The Umbrella Academy, The Witcher, The Sandman, The Cuphead Show, Sweet Tooth, Resident Evil and Cowboy Bebop. Some of these series will have already been released by this time, so there could be some serious spoiler filled goodness to come. You and I both know that there are plenty of more properties that will be a part of this. It would also be a great time to announce new seasons, release dates and sequel plans.
Here's the first tease for the event from Netflix: "Mark your calendars for #GeekedWeek! Netflix series and films have inspired loyal followings and given fans plenty of things to geek out over. Now, Netflix Geeked, our home for all things genre entertainment across sci-fi, fantasy, superhero and more, wants to celebrate these communities and bring them together. That’s why we’re launching Geeked Week!"
