This past weekend, WonderCon@Home put on it’s second event in as many years. This year seemed to have even bigger stars and bigger announcements. So when Hulu took their spotlight to promote the release of Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., theyas did not disappoint.
Patton Oswalt, who will voice the title character, took fan questions along with the rest of the cast. Nothing could top the announcement of some of the guest stars for the upcoming series. Jon Hamm will voice Iron Man, Whoopi Goldberg will voice Poundcakes, Nathan Fillion will play the hero Wonder Man and Bill Hader will pull double duty as Angar The Screamer and The Leader. If you read the second issue of the M.O.D.O.K. solo comic from Marvel Comics, this might not have been as surprising.
The star studded trio joins an already impressive cast including Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia, Ben Schwartz and Jon Daly. There was also an updated synopsis provided after the panel: “In “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.”, the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Patton Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet!”
Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. comes to Hulu on May 21st. If you’d like to watch the full WonderCon@Home panel, go here.
