‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Series Cast Confirmed, Production Start Date Teased

The anticipation for Star Wars series has been extremely high. After not having a live action series at all, it seems like they have taken over the fandom in a big way. The return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi is a big reason for that.

Today, rumors became facts when Disney and Lucasfilm took to social media to reveal some names from the cast.

We were pretty sure about Hayden Christensen, but now we know that he will be back as Anakin Skywalker. Some other notable names are Joel Edgerton, Kumail Nanjiani and Rupert Friend. What roles the rest of the cast will play is unclear. We do know that Anakin will be looking for his former mentor, so it will be interesting to see how many will be friends and foes. We also know Obi-Wan will be dealing with the fact that is student went to the dark side.

The post also confirms that production will be starting soon, but stops short of sharing a start date. Maybe we’ll get a look or a release date coming up on May The Fourth Be With You? Let’s hope so.

Keep an eye out for updates.
