Marvel Releases ‘Behind The Mask’ Documentary Trailer

Since the inception of Disney+, we have started to see more and more documentaries that take fans behind the pages and screens of Marvel. On February 12th, Disney+ will take a look at secret identities in Marvel’s Behind The Mask. Let’s take a look at the first trailer.

Here is the synopsis, provided by Marvel: “From the very inception of comic books, secret identities have been an integral part of both super heroes and villains leading ‘normal’ lives. But it’s the characters beneath that resonate within us across generations of fans. Since the advent of the Marvel Age of Comics in the early 1960s, Marvel’s writers and artists have used the notion of identities to examine the evolving concept of equal rights. These legendary Marvel creations and stories have not only reflected the world outside our window – they have become a reflection of our own identities and who we truly are.”

Some of the Marvel Universe characters that we can expect to see discussed are Black Panther, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, the X-Men and Captain Marvel. Being around for 80 years, you know that Marvel will have plenty of guests to help take a deep dive into the characters that we grew to love.

Marvel New Media is producing, along with directed by Michael Jacobs and produced by Chris Gary and Ryan Simon for Tarmac Creative and Strike Anywhere. Executive producers from Marvel include Joe Quesada, Shane Rahmani, Stephen Wacker, John Cerilli, Harry Go and Sarah Amos.
