‘Lovecraft Country’ Sneak Peek & Trailer Revealed By HBO

If you’re looking for winners from Comic-Con@Home, you have to put HBO on that list. On Saturday, always a big day for the con, the network made a big splash with Lovecraft County. We were lucky enough to get a couple of videos this weekend from the series. Let’s start with the sneak peek shown during the Comic-Con@Home panel:

You might have missed it, but HBO also released a trailer on Friday. So, if you didn’t see it, here you go:

Now you should be very ready for the upcoming premiere next month. The story is based on the novel from Matt Ruff. If you’re still looking for the synopsis, Lovecraft County: “follows Atticus Freeman as he journeys with his childhood friend Letitia and his uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) on a road trip from Chicago across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father Montrose. Their search-and-rescue turns into a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and monstrous creatures that could be ripped from an H.P. Lovecraft paperback.”

Misha Green serves as showrunner and executive producer. The first season will consist of 10 episodes. You can watch on HBO or HBO Max beginning on Sunday, August 16th at 9pm. Keep checking back for our review.
