It looks like we will be spending this Fall in the Keyhouse. As part of Geeked Week, Netflix revealed today that Season 2 of the hit series Locke & Key would premiere this October. While we don't have an exact date, at least we got some sort of update. Plus, let's face it, Halloween month seems pretty appropriate.
We also got some first look photos from the upcoming season. The first you see above with the Locke children, Connor Jessup (Tyler Locke), Emilia Jones (Kinsey Locke and Jackson Robert Scott (Bode Locke). Could they be talking about what happened with the Omega Key at the end of Season 1? I won't say anything beyond that to avoid potential spoilers. This next photo, however, will be a potential spoiler, so proceed with caution.
Could there be dissension in the ranks between Eden and "Gabe". If you've seen the first season, you know the reason for the quotes. You also know that the Locke family is in for a couple of big surprises about their friends. It will be interesting to see how Kinsey in particular deals with it all.
Showrunners for the second season will be Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averil. They will also produce along with Aron Eli Coleite, Joe Hill (co-creator of the IDW comic series), Chris Ryall with Lydia Antonini and Ted Adams for IDW, Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, David Alpert and Rick Jacobs for Circle of Confusion, Lindsey Springer, and John Weber and Frank Siracusa for Take 5. Returning cast members include those mentioned earlier, along with Darby Stanchfield (Nina Locke), Petrice Jones (Scot Cavendish), Bill Heck (Rendell Locke), Thomas Mitchell Barnett (Sam Lesser), Coby Bird (Rufus Whedon), Jesse Camacho (Doug Brazelle), Asha Bromfield (Zadie Wells), Aaron Ashmore (Duncan Locke), Liyuo Abere (Jamie Bennett), and Brendan Hines (Josh Bennett).
Don't forget about our coverage of Season 1! Go back and check out our interviews with Laysla De Oliveira and Emilia Jones. Also keep an eye out for the first trailer for Season 2 and any other updates.
