It looks like Sarah Connor will be dealing with aliens this time around. Deadline reports that Linda Hamilton is set to recur in Resident Alien from Syfy. Mandell Maughan (Bajillion Dollar Propertie$) and Alex Barima (The Exorcist) have also been announced as recurring stars.
Hamilton will play General McCallister, who seems very by the book until you find out she’s running a covert operation looking for aliens. Maugham will play Lisa Casper who works with the General in searching for said aliens. Barima also appears to be part of the squad as well, playing dismissed military man David Logan. Based on that, this operation is far from on the up and up.
Based on Peter Hogan’s Dark Horse Comics story, Resident Alien follows Harry, an alien played by Alan Tudyk (Firefly) that crash lands on Earth and passes himself off as a small-town human doctor. Harry starts off living a simple life… but things get a bit rocky when he’s roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does so, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission and asking the big life questions like: “Are human beings worth saving?” and “Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?”
No premiere date has been set, but is currently approximated as Summer of 2020.
