The Mother of Dragons is about to be a mom again! Image Comics announced yesterday that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke would be writing a new comic book series that she has created. M.O.M.: Mother of Madness is described by Image as Deadpool meets Fleabag.
The story will span three super sized issues. Clarke will co-write the series with Marguerite Bennett. Leila Leiz will lend her artistic talents, along with covers from Jen Bartel and Jo Ratcliffe. The early synopsis describes M.O.M.: Mother of Madness this way: “the mayhem begins with Maya, under-the-weather scientist by day, over-the-top superhero by night, and badass single mom 24/7.”
Clarke took to Instagram to share her excitement:
The first issue will arrive at your local comic book shops and digital retailers on July 21, 2021. Check back around that time for our review. Entertainment Weekly was the first to report the release.
