Whether you call him the “Master of Horror”, the “King of Creepy” or something else, Cullen Bunn knows the genre like no other. Now he is headed to the Deadside with one of Valiant’s most mysterious characters. A new Shadowman series, previously teased by Valiant in recent video, will be written by Bunn and available in May of 2020.
Joining Cullen Bunn will be artist Jon Davis-Hunt, master colorist Jordie Bellaire and letters by Clayton Cowles. Bunn says that the team will be, “taking Shadowman in some directions he’s never been taken before.” He also teases a new villain that will be introduced in the story. I’m not saying this is it, but check out some of the art that is being teased already:
That’s just a small sample of what to expect. There will also be variant covers from Reis, Dave Johnson, Tony Moore, and Jeff Dekal.
The synopsis tells us that: ” In this brand-new series, Jack Boniface, a.k.a. SHADOWMAN, faces the terrors that tear at the fabric of humanity’s world. Every chapter of SHADOWMAN is a standalone descent into horror while something far more sinister emerges from shadows.”
