You heard creators David Booher and Drew Zucker talk to us about it on this week’s podcast, now it’s confirmed. A sequel to Canto is coming to IDW in July. This also comes with word that the one shot, Canto and the Clockwork Fairies will be coming in May.
Canto II: The Hollow Men continues the story of Canto and his people, picking up where the first volume left off. SPOILER ALERT they got their freedom in the end, but at what cost? The synopsis for this new chapter reveals some unexpected consequences of that freedom.
“That freedom is in jeopardy when Canto discovers his people’s clocks will stop unless they return to captivity. He and his friends Falco, Rikta, and Veratta embark on a new adventure to save the lives of all their people. Can they lift the curse before their time runs out? “
From the character designs to the warrior you can’t help but root for, Canto is one of the best fantasy stories I have read in a while. Not only can I not wait for this story to continue, I can’t wait to see what new characters we are going to meet along the way. Keep checking back for updates on the exact release date and my review.
