‘Black Widow’, ‘Cruella’ Getting A Dual Theatrical & Disney+ Release

It’s official, and a possible game changer. After nearly a year of shifting release dates, Disney has finally decided to give two of their biggest films of the year a dual release in theaters and on Disney+. Black Widow and Cruella will both premiere in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on the same day.

Black Widow will officially become the first Marvel Studios film to get the Disney+ treatment. The release date has also been moved to July 9th. The same $30 price point seems like it will apply for Premier Access, much like Raya And The Last Dragon and Mulan.

For now, it appears that Cruella will still be slated for a May 28th release. The same Disney+ terms apply here. If that changes, I’ll update that info here.

I’ll have more on this coming up on Episode 360 of the podcast. Keep an eye out for reviews and more coverage as the release dates get closer.
