When you read certain comics, do you ever look for Easter eggs? It can be fun to find something hidden within the art or a reference within the text. Now, imagine that the end of the world is at stake. Amazon Prime Video hopes you’ll join in the conspiracy thriller that is Utopia.

There are some familiar faces in the cast, like John Cusack and Rainn Wilson. They are joined by the ensemble cast of Ashleigh LaThrop, Dan Byrd, Jessica Rothe, Desmin Borges and Javon “Wanna” Walton. Best-selling author and award-winning screenwriter, Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Sharp Objects) is the mind behind the story, joined by executive producers Jessica Rhoades, Sharon Levy, Sharon Hall, Toby Haynes, Karen Wilson, and Dennis Kelly. Flynn will also serve as showrunner.

They realize these are not just the makings of a conspiracy; they are very real dangers coming alive right now in their world. The group embarks on a high-stakes adventure, bringing them face-to-face with the comic’s famed central character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane), who joins them on their mission to save the world while harboring secrets of her own.”
