(NOTE: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of this Blu-Ray for unboxing and review. All opinions expressed are my own.)
Anyone up for a trip to Blue Valley? Don’t worry, it’s just a small town filled with super villains and a plan to take over the country. A new family just moved to town though, and they aim to stop it. DC’s Stargirl: The Complete First Season is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD. You can bring home all 13 episodes, uncut I might add. That’s why there are no deleted scenes or special features. It’s presented in all of it’s uncut glory! So if you were watching on The CW, you’ll finally get to see what DC Universe subscribers saw when they watched the series.
I don’t have Dr. Mid-Nite’s goggles, but I think you’ll still enjoy the unboxing:
In case you need it, here is the full synopsis provided by Warner Bros. TV:
“Focusing on the character that started creator Geoff Johns’ career in comic books, when he created her, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a plane explosion, new DC drama series, DC’s Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to take up the legacy of a long-lost Super Hero team – The Justice Society of America – and stop the Super-Villains of the past.”
Here is the episode list:
- Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite
- The Justice Society
- Shiv Part One
- Shiv Part Two
- Brainwave Jr.
- Shining Knight
- Stars & S.T.R.I.P.E. Part One
- Stars & S.T.R.I.P.E. Part Two
Be aware, this set does not include the Crisis on Infinite Earths bonus disc, likely because Stargirl was not a part of the crossover. The series also aired post-Crisis, so there’s that. Look for past episodes of the podcast for episode reviews and interviews with the cast of the series.
