‘The Wonder Twins’ HBO Max Movie Finds It’s Heroes

Everyone has already stolen all of the clever “activate” opening sentences, so I’ll just cut right to it. In case you didn’t know, a The Wonder Twins movie is coming to HBO Max. Now we know who will be playing the twins themselves, and you might recognize them.

KJ Apa of Riverdale fame will play Zan, and Isabel May of 1883 will play Jayna, according to Deadline. Plot details are unavailable right now, but we do know that Black Adam co-writer Adam Sztykiel is attached. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill will produce. The report also says that production will begin this summer.

The transforming pair have made various appearances throughout the DC Universe over the years, both in the comics and in animation. Their lone live action appearance (as far as I can remember) came in Smallville. I’m guessing we’ll see the twins more in their life on Earth, and not too much focus on the planet Exxor. I don’t know if we’ll see Gleek, their pet, but odds are pretty good that we’ll see Grax in some capacity. Again, that’s just speculation on my part.

More details should start to come to light in the next month or so. Keep checking back for updates.
