There's definitely some irony to the fact that it feels like we've been waiting forever for a first look at The Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan's novels will finally come to life on Amazon Prime Video this November. Since you've been waiting long enough, here's the teaser trailer for The Wheel of Time.
There's plenty of magic, but clearly not for everyone. In case you're not aware, the story follows, "follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity."
Rafe Judkins serves as showrunner and executive producer. Judkins will be joined by fellow executive producers Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of iwot productions, Mike Weber, Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz. Pike will also produce with Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson consulting. Amazon Studios is actually co-producing the series with Sony Pictures Television.
In true Amazon fashion, the first three episodes of The Wheel of Time will premiere on November 19th on Amazon Prime Video. Episodes will release weekly after that, with the finale set for Christmas Eve. Keep checking back for our review and continuing coverage of the series.
