When we first saw The Last Kids on Earth on Netflix, it was in live action. Now they’re switching gears for an all new animated special. Here is the first trailer:
Is it just me, or does this just feel suited for animation? I also feel like this might allow them to do more and make things more visually striking. I’m not saying the live action version wasn’t good, I just think they might find out that animation could bring out the best in this story.
The Last Kids on Earth follows 13-year-old Jack Sullivan (voiced by Nick Wolfhard) and his band of middle schoolers who live in a decked-out tree house, play video games, and battle zombies in the aftermath of the monster apocalypse. It’s a hilarious adventure filled with crazy gadgets and a lifetime supply of action. This special comes out on the same day as the final book, September 17th.
