We might not be able to use the Speed Force to travel back in time like Barry Allen, but photos can sure take us back. The Batman symbol means something different to everyone, but certain symbols are iconic to certain moments for the Caped Crusader. The Flash movie director Andy Muschietti clearly knows that. Today he released a tease of Michael Keaton’s Batsuit from the upcoming film.
The question you immediately have to ask is: Who’s blood is that? Who dares stain such an iconic symbol? It looks like Keaton won’t be too far from the action, based on what we see here. It’s hard to do more than speculate at this point, given that it’s just one close-up image.
Regardless, I feel like it’s 1989 all over again. I never expected to see Michael Keaton return as Batman in any capacity. Now we’ll see him along with Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speeder himself. The film is set to follow the Flashpoint storyline, although expect that to be their own spin on the classic story.
