Clearly The CW knows a good thing when they see it. History has told us that when the network hands out renewals, they do it in bunches. That is exactly what happened when The CW announced the renewal of 12 existing series.
You can see in the graphic above that the Arrowverse fared pretty well with The Flash, Batwoman and DC's Legends of Tomorrow all set to return. Remember that both Supergirl and Black Lightning will be ending after their current seasons. This renewal now brings The Flash into a tie with Arrow for longest tenured Arrowverse series. Keep in mind, that flagship series ended after Season 8, so that's something to keep an eye on that one.
Outside of the superhero world, the news was also good for Riverdale, Charmed, Legacies, Nancy Drew and Roswell, New Mexico. After having The CW's highest rated premiere in five years, Walker received two pieces of good news. Not only was the series renewed for a second season, it's first season has been given five additional episodes (18 total.) Superman & Lois has yet to receive a renewal, but did score two additional episodes, which brings it's total to 15. That doesn't mean that a renewal is not forthcoming.
There are some spinoff series in the works, and some new ones as well, so it will be interesting to see how The CW handles their schedule going forward.
