‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Cast Expands & Robin Gets A Podcast

One of the first things I thought of when Netflix announced their Geeked Week celebration was that we would be getting some Stranger Things Season 4 news.  The Duffer Brothers took some time away from shooting the current season to announce some new additions to the cast.  Here's the post, in case you missed it:

Here's a little bit more about these new faces:

  • Amybeth McNulty aka Vickie: a cool, fast talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes.
  • Myles Truitt aka Patrick: a Hawkins basketball star who has friends, talent, and a good life…until shocking events send his life spiraling out of control.
  • Regina Ting Chen aka Ms. Kelly: a popular guidance counselor who cares deeply for her students — especially those struggling the most.
  • Grace Van Dien aka Chrissy: Hawkins’ High lead cheerleader and the most popular girl in school. But beneath the seemingly perfect surface lies a dark secret.

So we're agreed that if any school needed a guidance counselor, it's Hawkins, right?  That definitely would have been helpful early on.  Aside from that, we do see Amybeth in the video above and she is clearly excited to be a part of the show.  We didn't get any confirmations about Hopper or about Brenner, but this is a good step in the right direction.

If you're a fan of Maya Hawke's character of Maya, there's another bit of news that might make you happy.  It was also announced that Robin will be getting her own scripted podcast.  Rebel Robin will center around surviving Hawkins, which could mean a lot of things.  There will also be a YA novel based on the character coming soon.

There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered, but it's Stranger Things, so that shouldn't be a surprise at all.  At least we'll have some things to enjoy in the meantime before things go Upside Down again.  Keep checking back for updates.
