At this point, if a movie had a release date, it's either going to have a new one or a much later one. Spider-Man is the latest to get the COVID-19 shuffle, and it will be for a couple of sequels.
Forbes was the first to report that the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home will now release on November 5, 2021 (thanks to Doctor Strange moving again.) We also know now that the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse will now come out on October 7, 2022. So we'll have to wait even longer for that post credit teaser to pay off. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about.
Hopefully these dates hold true, but honestly, it's hard to know for sure with so much uncertainty. Sony Pictures has shifted dates for several movies already, including the highly anticipated Ghostbusters: Afterlife and more. Until life gets back to normal, or whatever the new normal might be, these dates feel very tentative. Of course, I will keep you posted with any updates.
