What a way to kick off the week. Marvel Studios is gearing up for their first martial arts epic on the big screen. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will finally hit theaters on September 3rd. We have all been waiting forever for a sneak peek and it’s finally here.
You can also see the first poster above, featuring Shang-Chi himself, Simu Liu. In the official logline from the film, it talks about Shang-Chi, “who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.” The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan. We’ll also see Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.
Destin Daniel Cretton directed the script that he wrote along with Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Lanham. Kevin Feige serves as executive producer along with Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth.
