How did I kick off my Comic-Con experience this year? I was invited by Amazon to attend the media preview of the Prime Video Experience happening at SDCC 2019. I am going to hold my full thoughts for this week's podcast (Episode 274), but I wanted to share some video and pictures from my experience. Let's start with The Expanse:

All three experiences were very unique, and the inside of the whole experience was amazing. If I had to choose, and it's a tough choice, I think the Carnival Row experience was my favorite. I felt like I was transformed and really inside the world of the show. Still at Comic-Con? Here are the details on all three activations:
- The Boys activation puts fans in the forefront of a crime scene that needs to be covered up. Lead by two members of The Boys cohort, you and 15-20 other attendees must scour the store and dispose of anything that could lead back to Butcher and Hughie. With the cops on their way, fans have about 10 minutes to clean up to search and destroy before fleeing the scene.
- Carnival Row activation begins on the backstreets of the neo-Victorian Carnival Row. Guests will be questioned by law enforcement, then moved into the marketplace where they can interact with vendors, pucks, and faeries.
- The Expanse activation enlists the help of the fans to assist with a UN peacekeeping mission on the newly colonized planet, Illus. Never seen before, fans will be able to walk and see Illus for the first time. Participants will explore new terra, pursue science-driven discoveries, and attempt to ease tensions between private corporations vying for profit and refugee groups just struggling to survive.
Make sure you take time for the activation. This is one of those con experiences that you will definitely remember. Head to 1st Ave. and Island Ave. to enter the world of the Prime Video Experience, and let them know that the Down And Nerdy Podcast sent you!
