People get upset about "super teams" in sports all the time. When it comes to our entertainment? We rightfully celebrate it! Image Comics sent out a first look teaser for a new comic book series that will be revealed at Comic-Con this year. That's not the biggest part of the announcement.
The untitled series will be written by Scott Snyder and Charles Soule. Throw in art by Giuseppe Camuncoli,Matt Wilson, Daniele Orlandini and Crank! and you have a creative team of epic proportions. No other information is given, other than the brief description on the image provided. The phrased that stand out to me the most are "without warning" and "an expedition has been launched". This seems more than a mere story about borders. There is much more going on here and many more questions that need to be answered.
I'm sold on the creative team alone, but I am very intrigued by the concept. I will be on the floor at Comic-Con hunting down answers for you. Until then, what do you think about this new Image Comics series? Post your best guesses!
