Agent Liberty might be no more, but Sam Witwer isn’t done being a thorn in the side of your favorite CW characters. ComicBook.com reports that Witwer will have a recurring role in this 4th season of Riverdale. He will play Mr. Chipping, a teacher at a school not too far from Riverdale High. The report also reveals that this new character will specifically pose a problem for Jughead.
Here is the official character description:
“Handsome, bookish and cool, Mr. Chipping teaches creative writing at a prestigious prep school near Riverdale. He recruits Jughead for his seminar, and while he’s eminently inspiring to his students, there’s a darkness hidden far beneath the surface…”
Poor Jughead just catch a break, can he? Introducing this new preppy school should create a very interesting dynamic on the show. Could a rivalry be brewing? We’ll have to find out when Riverdale premieres Wednesday, August 9th on The CW.
