Revenge & Redemption Fuel ‘Kate’ For Netflix (TRAILER)

I want you to remember your favorite RPG growing up.  Depending on what the setting was, I bet there was a time where one of your characters was poisoned and you only had a short time to make things right.  Fast forward to the present day, add some serious revenge and a ton of action, and we'll introduce you to Kate.

The action packed thriller is about to hit Netflix, and was one of the movies that intrigued me the most during Geeked Week.  Before I give you the breakdown of what it's about, how about you just take a look at the trailer?

It really looks like a non-stop adrenaline rush doesn't it?  Here's the official synopsis from Netflix:  "Meticulous and preternaturally skilled, Kate is the perfect specimen of a finely tuned assassin at the height of her game. But when she uncharacteristically blows an assignment targeting a member of the yakuza in Tokyo, she quickly discovers she’s been poisoned, a brutally slow execution that gives her less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her killers. As her body swiftly deteriorates, Kate forms an unlikely bond with the teenage daughter of one of her past victims."

The cast does have some familiar names, led by Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson.  We also get introduced to Miku Martineau, who plays the teenager described in the synopsis. You'll also see Tadanobu Asano, Jun Kunimura, Miyavi and Michiel Huisman.  They are all directed by Cedric Nicholas-Troyan.

Am I the only one that feels a major twist or two coming in this one?  I feel like this is one of those movies where you just sit back and enjoy the ride.  Kate comes to Netflix on September 10th.  Make sure you add it to your list here.
