Peacock Announces ‘MacGruber’ Series, Teases Returns of ‘A.P. Bio’ & ‘Saved By The Bell’

As far as original programming goes, Peacock is off to a pretty good start. With Brave New World, Hitmen, Capture and others, the NBCUniversal streamer has offered a nice variety. Get ready for some nostalgia, and the return of a fan favorite character.

The network announced today that they have picked up a MacGruber series, with Will Forte returning to the title role. Forte will also write and be the executive producer of the series, which will also return the movie’s behind the camera team. In this revival, “After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber (Will Forte) is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past—Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth. With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must race against time to defeat the forces of evil — only to find that evil… may be lurking within.”

The series will premiere some time in 2021.

We are much closer to the return of A.P. Bio, with the third season arriving on September 3rd. You can see one of the new posters above. You can also see the new trailer:

Finally, we have the long awaited return of Saved By The Bell. Let’s see if your favorite character is a part of the new trailer:

Yes, Zack Morris is the governor, let that sink in. It also looks like the students of Bayside High are about to get a big bite of a reality sandwich. There is no release date for this series quite yet, but we’ll keep an eye on it.

All series will be available exclusively on the Peacock streaming service. We’ll have more coverage, coming soon.
