This is one release date that I think they will actually make the first time. New Mutants stubbornly made it’s way into theaters in late August, skipping an early or dual digital release. Odds are, you probably didn’t brave the reduced capacity cinemas to see it. So, the day that you have been waiting for has finally arrived.
It was revealed on social media today that New Mutants will be released on 4K, Blu-Ray and VOD on November 17th. What’s interesting is, most movies typically get released on digital a week or two before the physical release. New Mutants appears to be releasing everything on the same day. The price tag is about what you would expect. You likely would have paid that in August. Do you want to pay it in November? I personally chose not to review the movie in August, because it simply wasn’t worth the risk to me and my family. Problem is, are any of us still interested enough to see it? That’s obviously different for everyone. It just feels like the air is out of the balloon a bit here.
