It’s the final day of Geeked Week from Netflix, but they are still dropping some big news. You already knew about the anime series, RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness, but Netflix also has a live action series in the works. Now we know who will be a part of that series.
Take a look at the announced cast:
- Lance Reddick as ALBERT WESKER
- Ella Balinska
- Tamara Smart
- Siena Agudong
- Adeline Rudolph
- Paola Nuñez
I love that Reddick looks to be finally taking the lead in a series. He has always been a great supporting character, especially on Fringe. Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) will serve as Showrunner, with Mary Leah Sutton also writing the series. Sutton will also serve as executive producer along with Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben of Constantin Film. Constantin Film CEO Martin Moszkowicz will also produce.
The series will have 8 episodes that will be an hour long. We still don’t know much about the story. The only logline we have is: “Nearly three decades after the discovery of the T-virus, an outbreak reveals the Umbrella Corporation’s dark secrets.”
This will be a new story in the Capcom video game franchise. We’ll have more updates as they happen.
