Netflix Brings ‘DOTA’ To Anime In March

Netflix is no stranger to taking great video games and turning them into spectacular anime.  This time they will be teaming up with Valve to bring DOTA to the streamer.  The upcoming series, DOTA: Dragon's Blood, will actually be based on the popular DOTA 2 video game.  Take a look at the first teaser.

Before I go on, how good is that animation from Studio MIR?  You probably recognize their work from another Netflix series, Voltron: Legendary Defender.  Sure it looks amazing, but there still has to be a great story.  DOTA: Dragon's Blood, "tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined"

Ashley Edward Miller (X-Men: First Class) will serve as showrunner, while Ryu Ki Hyun joins as co-executive producer.  We won't have to wait long to see this series either.  DOTA: Dragon's Blood drops all eight episodes on March 25th.  When that happens, I'll have a review waiting for you either here or on a future podcast.  Until then, make sure you go here to add it to your Netflix list.
