NBC Renews Manifest For A Second Season

Your hard work has paid off, Manifesters! Today NBC made the announcement that the show would return for a second season. Here is the announcement on social media:

Exciting news for a series that had been a question mark for a while now. Manifest may have ultimately been saved by the large ratings gained by DVR and streaming media playback. No matter the reason, fans now know that the story will continue and the writers will at least have a chance to conclude their story.

There has been no official word on the number of episodes or when the show would return. Remember, the first season ran 16 episodes. That is a bit of an unusual number, so I expect that to change. If I were to guess, I would say to expect between 10 and 13 episodes. Manifest didn't have many "filler episodes" in Season 1, so there is no need for additional episodes to bog the story down.

For anyone unfamiliar with Manifest, here you go:

When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. But in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years -- and after mourning their loss, their friends, families and colleagues had given up hope and moved on. Now, >with the impossible, they're all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds, and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

For Manifesters, what are you looking forward to the most in Season 2?
