Now that filming has started, we are really getting a lot of Crisis On Infinite Earths news. Today’s casting definitely puts one rumor to bed. When Stephen Amell revealed to us at SDCC that he would be playing two characters in the crossover, fans began to suspect that he would play The Spectre. Turns out, that is not the case.
IGN reports that Stephen Lobo (Supernatural) has been cast as Jim Corrigan (AKA The Spectre). It’s not completely clear if we will see Corrigan go full Spectre, but given what happens in the comics, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see that. I do find it interesting that Lobo was cast, and that they didn’t use the same Jim Corrigan from the short lived Constantine series. You might remember that he was played by Emmett J. Scanlan. The irony here is Scanlan played Lobo in Krypton. This is no dad joke people, this is a real life major coincidence.
Crisis On Infinite Earths begins December 8th on The CW.
