‘Lucifer’ Spotted On ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Set? (UPDATED)

UPDATED: Tom Ellis spoke to Katie Krause from Entertainment Tonight and said, “Right, OK, see… this is what happens. I go to Vancouver for the weekend to visit my friend for his birthday and now suddenly, I’m in a different show!” He also said being in the crossover was a “hard pass”. Is he just trying to throw us off? The original story is below.

Normally I like to shy away from rumors, but this was too good to pass up. There have been so many guest stars announced for the Crisis On Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover, it’s hard to keep track. With filming going on right now, it’s not uncommon for photos from a set to end up on social media. This particular tweet caught almost everyone’s attention. You’ll see why:

If this ends up being true, this is huge for a number of reasons. First, having Tom Ellis appear on an Arrowverse show would break down a huge barrier. Normally shows don’t cross networks, even if they do happen to be from the same company (in this case, Warner Bros.) If this were to happen, it could open a floodgate of possibilities.

The most simple thing to be excited about is, it’s just plain cool. Tom Ellis is amazing as Lucifer Morningstar and would be a welcome addition to almost anything. Plus, we could finally have a meeting between Lucifer and Matt Ryan’s John Constantine. You may have heard me ask Ryan about this in an interview last year. At the time, I never thought that it would actually happen.

While I understand the concern about having too many guest stars, I can’t imagine that many of these aren’t just cameos. If you think back to Avengers: Endgame, many in the laundry list of characters were really only part of the huge final battle. No one seemed as concerned then, so let’s give ourselves a chance to be excited about a little bit of fan service for once. Plus, now I want to find out who we could see from Gotham or Krypton now! I’m only half joking about this.

I’m really trying not to get my hopes up with this rumor, but it might be too late for that. If it gets confirmed at some point, DO NOT miss the next episode of the podcast. I will not be able to contain myself.
