‘Lovecraft Country’ Star Lands Major ‘Ant-Man 3’ Role

Doesn't it feel weird the have the Marvel Cinematic Universe virtually on pause since Avengers: Endgame? It just feels like forever since we've seen that logo, watched those comic pages flip and were wowed by the latest installment. We can add a bit more news to prepare you for what's to come. According to Deadline, Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country) has been added to the cast of Ant-Man 3 as a major Marvel villain.

Majors will reportedly play Kang the Conquerer, but Marvel Studios has yet to comment. Kang is a time traveler, so who knows where this movie could go. The report also suggests that we could see Kang in multiple films. That's interesting, considering the wealth of villains that were acquired in the 20th Century Fox deal. Obviously this is just a report, but something to keep an eye on.

Peyton Reed returns to direct the third installment in the Ant-Man movie franchise. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily will also return to their roles. The title isn't set in stone either, obviously. Many reports have suggested that future sequels will be titled Ant-Man and The Wasp, giving them both equal billing. So any title would likely include that, as it should. Beyond that, and this piece of news, not much is known about the upcoming third movie.

More on this as it develops.
