‘Lord of the Rings’ Returning To Comic-Con In 2022

After a two year absence, Comic-Con is back! This year promises to be a big one, almost making up for lost time. So, who will be packing in the fans at Hall H this year? One big name has already thrown their name into the ring.

Prime Video has announced that Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power would be in Hall H this year with a special look at the upcoming series. Both cast and creators are scheduled to attend. I would certainly expect to see showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. I doubt we’ll get the whole cast, but I’m sure we’ll see some of this group: Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.

Remember, this is an internal cast, so travel restrictions could still play a role there. It will be very interesting to see how much will be revealed about bringing J.R.R. Tolkien’s Second Age to life during the panel. This is the first major panel announced for SDCC, and is certainly one that should have fans camping out as per usual. More on confirmed guests as the news comes in.

I will once again be at Comic-Con this year. So keep an eye on this site, our socials and on our podcast for continuing coverage leading up to and during Comic-Con International.
